What is all this talk about “fair” grading? Teachers all around the world battle it out on Twitter, Facebook, blog posts, and even with parents - Let’s teach responsibility! I want to hold my students accountable! Let’s get rid of the five-paragraph essay! No more grades at all! But what is behind all of that discussion? And how can you apply solid ideas to your current situation? Key ideas about grading will be discussed by participants in this hands-on session. With the presenter as a guide, we’ll decide if certain “status quo” ideas are necessary in a classroom, nice to have, or if they should be taken out of the equation completely.
